Participants Needed for Online Study on Depression and Eating Disorders
MySelfHelp.com is conducting a worldwide search for participants to take part in a clinical study that measures the effectiveness of online, interactive programs for mental health problems. Programs were developed through grants from the National Institute of Mental Health.
/Mental Health News Articles/ - Northborough, MA, July 01, 2005 - MySelfHelp.com is conducting a worldwide search for participants to take part in a clinical study that measures the effectiveness of online, interactive programs for depression, eating disorders, and related mental health problems.
Participants are eligible if they 1) suffer from depression, binge eating, or bulimia, and 2) are currently experiencing symptoms.
Individuals can participate regardless of whether they are currently receiving treatment.
MySelfHelp.com online, interactive, self-help programs were developed through grants from the National Institute of Mental Health, and are currently being used in 30 countries throughout the world.
Each participant will receive a three-month membership to MySelfHelp.com programs, and will be asked to answer questions at the beginning and end of the study.
Participants will remain anonymous. Results will be posted on the organization's website and will be available upon request.
