Ms. Ruetten has been working as a clinical registered nurse and psychiatric nurse specialist for the past 11 years. She has distinguished herself as an extremely valuable member of the medical staff on the child/adolescent, chemical dependency, and adult psychiatric units. Her experience and work ethic have been evident while assessing patients, supervising nurses, treating patients through therapy, prescribing medication for mood stabilization, and working with doctors, treatment team members and patient advocates.

Ms. Ruetten received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, cum laude, from San Diego State University, CA, in 1997 and is certified in public health. A recipient of the Wholeness Award for Outstanding Performance as Supervisor of Bayview Hospital in 2003, Ms. Ruetten is a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society and the San Diego State University Lifetime Alumni Association.
