Carolyn Anderson Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry

KENT, UK, March 12, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn Anderson, Fundraiser for Kent Cancer Trust, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her career.

As a fundraiser for Kent Cancer Trust, Ms Anderson is involved in raising awareness of the charity and organising fundraising events. She previously worked as Education Officer for a professional body of bookkeepers. After discovering that Russian accountants had yet to come onto international accounting standards, she liaised with a Russian working in England who had a wealth of information and wonderful contacts. Ms Anderson travelled to Moscow and St. Petersburg and set up all that was necessary to kick start the project. She then approached Sir Peter Kemp, who agreed to grant her funding to bring professors over to London and she, in turn, organised courses for them to learn basic bookkeeping so that they could then go back to their cities and set up courses for their accountants. This experience took her to the Kremlin in Moscow with her chairman, who had been invited to give a speech that she had prepared. She was then invited to Yekaterinburg to give a speech of her own.

Ms Anderson is currently mentoring with student general practitioners and social workers to ensure that they are aware of the problems encountered by psychiatric patients. She is also campaigning to bring about a better understanding of mental illness so that in the future there will be no stigma attached to it.
