With 15 years of experience, Dr. Bewersdorf is recognized as a specialist in treating depression. The manager of his own psychotherapy and counseling practice, he treats patients individually and in groups, provides one-on-one counseling in person and over the telephone, treats depression and anxiety, assists clients with decision-making, and oversees crisis intervention. He also has an extensive background in counseling on marriage and relationships, adolescent issues, stress, and retirement adjustment.

Dr. Bewersdorf began his career as a supervisor for a high school special education department; after attaining a position as a rehabilitation counselor for the State of Illinois, he realized that he had found his calling in psychotherapy. He attributes his success to his insight, ability to listen to his patients, and conviction that proper guidance can help a person solve any problem.
