Ray A. Kessler, PhD has 25 years of professional experience and specializes in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and developmental disorders in children. In his position at Plains Medical Center, he is tasked with conducting individual and group therapy sessions. He also plays a pivotal role in assisting with the integration of the medical, dental and behavioral health departments. Dr. Kessler notes that he became involved in his profession because he feels passionately about children's welfare.

A licensed professional counselor, Dr. Kessler earned his PhD in clinical psychology from Walden University in 2003. He received a master's degree in agency community counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 1992, and is a member of the Colorado Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association and Monument Hill Sertoma.
