John Andrew Elizondo Honored for Excellence in Community Service
John Andrew Elizondo plays an instrumental role in managing public relations for The Center for Health Care Services

SAN ANTONIO, TX, August 25, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Andrew Elizondo, Community Relations Specialist for The Center for Health Care Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of community service.

With an excess of nine years of experience in the mental health field, John Andrew Elizondo demonstrates proficiency in all aspects of his profession. Particularly skilled in the areas of writing and communications, he is partly responsible for managing public relations for The Center for Health Care Services, located in San Antonio. In this capacity, he is responsible for conducting research, managing community outreach programs and maintaining web content for The Center's online site.

Driven by a desire to advocate on behalf of the mentally ill, Mr. Elizondo made the decision to pursue a career in community service and mental health. Having accrued a number of vocational highlights during his nine years in the field, he considers assisting with the review of one-half billion dollar bond project for Bexar County to be his most noteworthy accomplishment.

Mr. Elizondo holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has served as a member of the Behavioral Health Network and Planning Advisory Committee to The Center since its inception in 2001, and served as a member of the City of San Antonio Transportation Advisory Board and the Bexar County Hidalgo Foundation. Never one to rest on his laurels, Mr. Elizondo stays current with the trends in his profession by conducting research and networking with peers. Looking the future, he aspires to serve in an elected government position and play a part in policy-making processes.
