MANUKA, ACT, AUSTRALIA, December 2, 2009 /Stanford Who's Who/-- Dr. Robert Tym has been recognized by Stanford Who's Who for his excellence in the field of Psychiatry. Running his own private practice, he provides superior mental and emotional care for his patients.

Robert specializes in providing answers to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) problems, diagnosis and treatment-to-elimination. He is also an expert in the area of Attention Deficit Disorder as well as accommodating and treating patients with various other psychological needs.

Dr. Tym attributes his success to 30 years of careful clinical-psychiatric observation of visual phenomena in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. His proudest professional moment was discovering the characterization of the 'visual state marker' for PTSD.

He earned a degree in Psychiatry from Sheffield University in England.

Robert is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, which is the principal organization representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand.

Dr. Tym published a study with two fellow psychiatrists in September 2009 entitled, Two persisting patho-physiological visual phenomena following psychological trauma; their elimination with Rapid Eye Movements - a Possible Refinement of Construct Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and its Visual State Marker - Traumatology 15 (3) 23-33.
