/Mental Health News Articles/ -- PHILADELPHIA, PA, January 4, 2010, Zafar Nafis Naqvi, Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in addiction psychiatry, psychoanalysis and eating disorders.

Zafar Nafis Naqvi has 14 years of experience as a Psychiatrist and four years as a psychoanalyst. He is responsible for performing Psychoanalysis, assisting psychiatric outpatients with therapy and medical management services, and treating patients with Drug and Alcohol addiction as well as Eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and Obesity. Dr. Naqvi practiced psychiatry in England for five years. He is currently working as a psychoanalyst psychiatrist at clinics. He became involved in his profession because he found psychiatry to be blend of arts and science and developed a passion for it. He attributes his success to his upbringing, and Psychodynamic Literature from Sigmund Freud, Donald Winnicott and Malanie Klein.

Dr. Naqvi received his Fellowship from The Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia and his MD from Dow Medical College (Now Dow University of Health Sciences) in 1994. He also earned a Diploma in Psychiatry and Mental Health (England), and is a trained Psychiatrist from the Royal College of Psychiatrists (U.K.). In addition to his formal education, he is a licensed psychoanalyst of The Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia and a Licensed Hypnotherapist of the National Guild of Hypnotists, Inc. He is a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association.
