Dr. John Romig Johnson to be Profiled in Exclusive Registry

CHARLESTON, SC, November 5, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John Romig Johnson, Ph.D, NCPsyA, IAAP, NYAAP , Partner of Body and Soul International LLC, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in Jungian psychoanalysis.

Dr. Johnson moved to Charleston a little over two years ago and is looking to be useful as a psychotherapist, teacher, and supervisor. He had been in the private practice of Jungian psychoanalysis in Manhattan since July of 1977. He is a senior member of the faculty of the C.G. Jung Institute in New York and a supervising psychologist for the training program.

Dr. Johnson is a professional member of the International Association of Analytical Psychologists, and the New York Association for Analytical Psychology. He is a Diplomate Psychoanalyst in the National Accreditation Association and the American Examining Board of Psychoanalysis. He is a Diplomate Pastoral Psychotherapist in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. Dr. Johnson is a graduate of the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. He received a Ph.D (with Distinction) in Psychiatry and Religion from the Union Theological Seminary in New York City, a M.Div. (with Honors) from The General Theological Seminary in New York City, and a B.A., Magna Cum Laude, from Furman University.

Dr. Johnson has been a tenured professor of Pastoral Theology at two seminaries as well as an adjunct at four other seminaries and universities. He has served as the pastor of several churches, and is the author of a number of articles and reviews on marriage and family issues, physical disability, and pastoral care concerns. He attributes his success to his competitive nature and hard work. He enjoys clinical work and is currently writing an article on the Charleston Jung Society.
