Jo Ann Martin Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Mental Health Advocacy

RIVERSIDE, CA, April 19, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jo Ann Martin, President of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of California, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of Mental Health Advocacy.

Ms. Martin has an impressive background as president of the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of California. She specializes in advocacy for programs and is responsible for facilitation of top speakers to talk about depression and bipolar disorders, fundraising and coordination of awareness shows. Hard work, dedication and perseverance are the driving forces behind her success.

Ms. Martin completed coursework in special education for the visually impaired at Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School in 1967 and received her Bachelor of Arts in Public School Music from Michigan State University in 1960. She received the CA Award for Dedication in the Mental Health Community of Riverside in 2002, the Dorothy Jefferson Lifetime Achievement Award in 2000 and the Certificate of Recognition Award from the California State Assembly in 2000.
