Robert S. Westfall Honored by Cambridge Who's Who
Robert S. Westfall celebrates 30 years in the nursing field
MIAMI, FL, May 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert S. Westfall, Associate Dean, Co-Founder of Mercy Hospital College of Nursing, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing academia.
With 30 years of professional experience, Mr. Westfall specializes in general medical surgical, mental health and gerontological nursing. He supervises 22 staff and over 120 students. In his role as Associate Dean, he administers student services, admissions processes, academic regulatory compliance, human resource functions as well as lectures in a variety of courses. He became involved in his profession because he always had an interest in healthcare and wanted to help others. He attributes his success to his caring nature and passion for his profession.
Mr. Westfall received his Master of Science in Nursing (1994) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1986), both from The University of Texas. He is a member of the Association of Practical Nurse Educators of Florida, the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, The American Nurses Association, The Academy of Medical Surgical Nurses, the National League for Nursing and the National Association for Practical Nurse Education Service. In the future, he intends to obtain a doctorate in nursing and continue teaching.
He is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and the Sigma Phi Omega Gerontological Honor Society.
