Dr. Lissette de Leon Honored for Accomplishments in Psychology
Dr. Lissette de Leon is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists


CANYON COUNTRY, CA, June 11, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Lissette de Leon, born in Guatemala, is currently a Mental Health Clinician II for the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in mental healthcare.

A trauma care expert, Dr. de Leon has 15 years of field experience. Presently at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, she counsels convicted minors at a youth camp and conducts psychological assessments. She performs family therapy and collaborates with the probation department. Attributing her success to her humanity, she was driven to enter her profession by her desire to help others.

A licensed family therapist, Dr. de Leon received a Doctor of Psychology from Ryokan College in 2003. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and supports a variety of charitable organizations. She has also been writing psychoeducational articles for a Spanish Newspaper for four years. In the past, she had her own radio program and is often interviewed by the Hispanic media on a variety of subjects. In the future, Dr. Leon intends to publish a book; she also hopes to attain a higher position or work for a state prison.
