T. Jeanne Banta also works at Children's Diagnostic Center, Inc., and has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in mental healthcare.
Ms. T. Jeanne Banta works at Dr. Douglas Reed & Associates, LLC, as a professional clinical counselor recognized by the endorsing bodies, but she is also a spirit-filled counselor for those in need of counseling surrounding concerns that impact their emotional and spiritual lives. Her day-to-day responsibilities at Children's Diagnostic Center Inc., a branch of Central Clinic, include diagnosing mental disorders and treatment through individual and family therapy as well as making referrals for psychiatric, psychological testing or substance abuse treatment. Ms. Banta makes reports as needed to referring agencies such as Children's Services or Juvenile/Adult Court and is a mandated reporter of abuse or neglect.
In 1997, Ms. Banta earned her Master of Education in Agency and Community Counseling from Xavier University. She went on to complete the Clinical Endorsement Program at Xavier and now she has completed all the layers of State licensure resulting in her acquisition of an independent license of Professional Clinical Counselor (P.C.C.-S), Supervisory Status from the State of Ohio. She also has an Independent License (LPC) with the State of Texas. She is a member of the Psychotherapy Association and is a member of the Advisory Board for New Beginnings Adoption and Family Services in Tupelo, MS. Ms. Banta has a wealth of knowledge and special interest in helping 3rd culture individuals or families (those who have challenges of blending ethnic cultures) as she lived over seas for almost 20 years and raised her two children in another culture. Jeanne has a great desire to help Christian Ministers, their families, Preacher's Kid's (P.K.'s) or Missionary Kids, (M.K.'s) T. Jeanne Banta was the force behind the development of an Annual "Missionary Kid's Conference" as well as the formation of an annual "Minister's Wifes' Retreat". Jeanne was awarded the "Speaker of the House" award for her Korean language proficiency.
