Jasjeet Miglani-Nayar, MD is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

SOUTH PASADENA, CA, July 26, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jasjeet Miglani-Nayar, MD, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for the Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Programs at Pacific Clinics, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in child and adolescent psychiatry in addition to providing psychiatric treatment to the geriatric population.

In her role at Pacific Clinics, Dr. Miglani-Nayar evaluates and treats patients ages 3 years of age and up, including the elderly with mental illness. She also provides medication consultation, school-based psychiatric consultation services and other psychiatric services to children and adolescents from all walks of life with special needs such as developmental disorders, depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and ADHD. She previously served in the Department of Forensic Psychiatry at William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute, and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She attributes her success to her desire to make a difference in the lives of people.

Dr. Miglani-Nayar graduated from Punjabi University Medical College with a MBBS. She completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI and graduated in 1998 as an Adult Psychiatrist. She served as the Chief Resident of the program during the Adult Psychiatry training. She also completed a post residency fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine from 1998-2000, and served as Chief Fellow of the program during Child and Adolescent training. In 2009, she was named "American's Top Doctor" and "Top Psychiatrist 2009" by the Consumer's Research Council of America. Dr. Miglani-Nayar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Psychiatric Association.
