Backed by over a decade of professional expertise, Katherine A. Darling is a seasoned professional in primary care, psychiatric/mental health advanced practice nursing, cardiology, geriatrics and emergency care. Now in private practice with Katherine Darling, LLC, Dr. Darling works as a locum tenens provider and consults on medical topics and reviews legal cases, as well as offers her healthcare expertise on a variety of subfields. Her doctoral studies focused on the integration of primary and mental health care for the seriously mentally ill in seven rural Community Mental Health Clinics in rural Arkansas. Prior to starting Katherine Darling, LLC, she owned and operated a contract blood services corporation that provided perfusion, cell salvage and plasmapheresis. Dr. Darling holds a doctor of nursing practice from the University of Tennessee and a master of nursing science from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and is a certified family nurse practitioner. Pending are her dual certifications as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Specialist following board examinations.

In an exclusive interview with Cambridge Who's Who, Dr. Darling noted that her professional ambitions have been largely driven by her passion for and commitment to improving the health and well-being of individuals as well as a deep sense of commitment to her colleagues and the profession of nursing. The most gratifying aspect of her career is being able to utilize her knowledge and skills to partner with her patients to improve their health and sense of well-being. Moving forward, Dr. Darling will seek to integrate primary, psychiatric and mental health into her practice with a holistic approach. Dr. Darling is a proud member of the Arkansas Nurses Association, The American Nurses Association, Inc., the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, International Association of Psychiatric Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She has been recognized with such honors as the U.S Army Spirit of Nursing Award, various academic scholarships and has been awarded the distinction of becoming a "Newman Scholar".
