Lieutenant Teena A. Gallagher to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Lieutenant Teena A. Gallagher earned a Doctorate in Theology and Biblical Counseling from Seton Hill University

LONDON, OH, July 13, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Teena A. Gallagher, Lieutenant for the Madison County Sheriff's Office, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in law enforcement and ministry counseling.

At the Madison County Sheriff's Office, Dr. Lt. Gallagher conducts and oversees the Community Resource Division, which includes the DARE, GREAT Program, monitors drug trafficking, other crime prevention programs, and inmate medical care and provides Chaplain Ministry. She is also employed by Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, where she works as a Pastoral Associate. Her duties include liturgy preparation, counseling for those with drug addiction, alcoholism, and domestic violence issues, and providing marriage counseling. She also helps with the instruction of PSR and RCIA classes, as well as other needed programs. She has thirty-five years of professional experience.

In 2009, Ms. Gallagher earned a Doctorate in Theology and Biblical Counseling from Seton Hill University. Prior to that she earned an Associate Degree in Registered Nursing from Clark State College. She is also the recipient of a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral and Health Science from Ohio University. Her Masters Degree was in Pastoral Studies, earned from Loyola University in New Orleans.

Her other interests include the National Audubon Society, the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy and Drug Abuse Resistance Education Program, and the Madison County Suicide Prevention Team. She is a Master Chaplain with the International Chaplains for Police Officers, and a member of the Buckeye State Sheriffs' Association, the National Sheriffs' Association, and the Madison County Hospital Foundation. She also serves on the Sub-committee for Loving Care Home Health and Hospice.

In the future, she intends to organize more public speaking engagements on the issues of high school drugs, gangs, and violence. She would also like to work with the youth of her parish.
